Traffic next week
- Tuesday 9 February– Night closure of full southbound motorway between SH1 Manukau southbound offramp (Redoubt Road) and also the SH20 southbound offramp (Lambie Drive) through to Takanini southbound onramp (Great South Road).
- Wednesday 10 February– Night closure of full southbound motorway between Takanini southbound offramp (Great South Road) through to Papakura southbound onramp (Beach Road).
- Thursday 11 February– Night closure of full northbound motorway between Papakura northbound offramp (Beach Road) through to Takanini northbound onramp (Great South Road).
No road closures next week.
Investigation work will continue during the daytime next week and some shoulder closures are anticipated, but these will not affect traffic movements.

Maps showing the proposed detour routes are attached to this email. They will also be available on our website. Note that this night work has been rescheduled to the dates above. Night work on the motorway from Tuesday 9 February involves the laying of asphalt on the motorway shoulders. More information on this work will be provided in the next bulletin once this work is confirmed. Neighbours adjacent to the motorway will also be informed.
Night work on the motorway next week involves the milling out of existing pavement and laying of asphalt on the motorway shoulders between Alfriston Road and the Pahurehure Inlet. This will provide a widened area for work and for the movement of motorway lanes in the coming weeks. We can pave around 2km per night, so weather permitting we expect to have the paving completed in this section by the end of the week. Neighbours adjacent to the motorway have been informed of the night work via a letter.

- Monday 15 February to Thursday 18 February - Night closure of one lane in each direction on Great South Road through the Takanini Interchange area.
Night closures are typically from 9pm at night to 5am in the morning. morning.
