FurtherThe planned road layout changes will be in place at SH20A/Kirkbride Road fromon Sunday 17 July 20 2016 (weather dependent) until mid 2017.have been postponed due to wet weather and will take place on the next available day, weather permitting.

What’s happening?

The next SH20A/Kirkbride intersection temporary alignment makes use of the newly constructed northbound on and off-ramps. These ramps will be used temporarily as the northbound traffic lanes.

The temporary alignment will be implemented on the evening of Sunday 17 July (weather permitting) and in place from Monday 18 July until mid-2017.

Traffic will be split into a dedicated northbound and southbound lane layout with northbound traffic moved onto the new ramps/lanes and southbound traffic staying where it is, creating a split between the directions of traffic flow.

Why?

This will allow for trench excavation to progress between the two traffic streams.

The new temporary intersection layout will involve turning movement changes for motorists including:

  • No right turn from Kirkbride Road east onto SH20A northbound – please use signposted detour

We ask that motorists drive with care, follow the signs and allow extra time to get to the Airport.
